| November 22, 1999: Chicago, Illinois – Thursday, November 18, 1999 Scraper accident claims life of
operator.
It appears that the scraper lost power going up a ramp along side a quarry high wall. The operator probably panicked and lost control and the scraper rolled backwards and fell off the high wall to the bottom of the Quarry (about 50 to 60 feet). He was dead on impact. Photo |
